Responding to the Government�s vision of enhancing the Bumiputra techno-entrepreneur community in the services sector, the founder members all of whom are registered professional engineers, combined their resources and expertise from their previous corporate employments and engineering practice to form a 100% Bumiputra concern. KL Prima Consult Sdn Bhd, established in 1996 is a corporate body of Consulting Engineers with the initial focus of providing professionals services mainly on Civil/Structural Engineering works. To carry out these professional services, the company is licensed by Treasury, Ministry of Finance and registered as a body corporate with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia.
Since then, it has grown to more than 60 staff members, among them professional engineers and project managers. In 1998, the Group expanded to include a registered project management consultancy (PMC) unit through an associate company Pengurusan Projek Prima Sdn Bhd. In Feb 2006, the company had successfully secured the ISO 9001-2000 Certification for its Quality Management System in providing Civil & Structural Engineering Consultancy Services. This accreditation was awarded by the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) in conjunction with Benchmark Australia.
Tapping its own internal resources and through association with other Specialist Consultants, the Group now provides a comprehensive range of professional engineering related services.
Today, the Group has projects completed all over the various states of Malaysia and plans to venture into the overseas market. The growth of KL Prima Consult Sdn Bhd since its inception in 1996 is testimony to its strong client base from both the Government and Private Sectors. Amongst its clients are Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Works & PWD, Dept of Housing, Putrajaya Corporation, Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd, Island & Peninsular Group, Sime UEP Berhad, PLUS Berhad, Selangor State Development Corporation, and major turnkey builders and contractors for privatization projects.

The management and administration of the organization is integrated internally to complement external communications using state of the art information technology (IT) systems. A local area network (LAN) of centralised file servers, e mail servers, workstations and plotters/printers integrates the production, data management and service deliverables i.e. drawings, reports, and design calculations onto a common platform.
